Sitting at the feet of Rabbi Jesus – Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg

A book worth having if you can find it. It is probably the best one I have on explaining the Jewishness of the New Testament. They also make you see how the New Testament and the Old Testament hold hands so tight that one should never split the two. Many things in the New Testament are repeated commands or warnings from the Old Testament. Many things in the New Testament are more understood and better appreciated when seen through the eyes of a Jewish rabbi. I bought my book through Loot.co.za. The usual Law and Grace issue is explained simply, but efficiently and it makes so much more sense now. The Jewishness of Jesus is explored and once you have read the book, the Bible takes on a whole new meaning. You begin to see more between the lines and things just make more sense.

Blessing the King of the universe – Irene Lipson

This book explains the Jewish blessings to Christians in such a way that you will start using blessings all day long and so enrich your life the the lives of others too.  In other words, by blessing the Lord, we will ourselves become a blessing to others too. Christians do not always realize how Jewish Jesus was, or actually is. He prayed like a Jew and if we want to do what He did, we must pray like Jews too!
