I have always enjoyed knitting and crocheting and sewing. In 2004 I crossed paths with a fantastic creative knitter, Jean Napier and that changed my knitting style a lot. I have become a serious knitter who as my husband puts it, breaks the rules. I guess all creative knitters have the intention of breaking rules. This all happened a year after starting to have serious problems with my knees (osteo-arthritis), so it is such a blessing that came my way. I have great fun knitting waist coats – there are so many themes to cover. In 2006 I went to the UK to visit my one daughter who was working there and bought my first sock yarns and sock book – Lucy Neatby’s Cool Socks, Warm Feet!!! Another change in my knitting life! I became a serious sock knitter. I have  moved on from knitting with self patterning yarns and do some of the creative thing by adding textured yarns. I am now focusing on berets and gloves.

I have discovered that puppy dogs love knitting and spinning more than kittens. In fact they are rather fast and destructive.
